While researching through the magazines I found John Galliano designs really interesting when it came to pleats, on one of his men’s wear pieces a silk shirt were he uses a long piece of pleats expanded from the collar of the shirt at first glance looks like a tie but it’s an attachment to the shirt! The pleats are so close together then expand at the bottom, then in some of his other work he creates wider pleats again using different weight of fabric,(image can be found in notebook) I am going to experiment with this idea of the same technique just different variations and different weights of fabric!
